Welcome to the Commonplace. Think of this place as a collection of things you might find in a moleskine or journal. Historically commonplace books were used by scholars, students, poets, readers and just plain good people. They kept all sorts of things in them: bits of wisdom, passages from great books, poems, jokes, recipes and even their own commentary on whatever was pertinent to them.
Here you'll find much of the same. The goal however is not to pollute another digital space. It is to open a forum of thought, celebrate the fringes of life and explore the things we doubt as well as believe. Guest authors and others will also offer their commentary or bits of wisdom on all sorts of topics. So rummage around, you might find more in common with flickernail than you realize.
